About

Studio Point 5

I’ve always wanted my own studio. So that’s what this is. Studio Point 5 is my playground, where I create, ship, and share my work. StudioPoint5.com is a blog, and Studio Point 5 is also a place. My tiny studio in my backyard. It’s a small Backyard Pod that has two rooms, one for Nancy, and the other for me… that’s my studio, my space.

What’s this for?

Studio Point 5 is for sharing my work. The blog is where I write. There’s also a contact page in case you’re looking to get in touch with me.

Why the name “Studio Point 5”?

The name, “Studio Point 5”, is a hat tipping acknowledgement to the beauty of co-creation, and to the privilege of being part of something bigger than myself.

Adam Lemmon

“Point 5” — there’s one person in the world that knows me and calls me by the nickname, Point 5. He’s the other founding member of our band, “Eli Whitney and the Cotton Gins”. A band we created in 1996 during our formative high school years. When spinning stories and daydreaming together about our band, we assumed alter ego personalities. He took on the moniker Eli, and we decided that I was the other half of Eli, or “Point 5”. That band was one of my early side projects. A collaboration. As I reflect on my portfolio of work, it strikes me that my best creative work has, more often than not, stemmed from a close collaboration; going farther, by going together. Learning the guitar as Adam Lemmon was one thing, but donning the mask of Point 5 and learning the guitar with my BFF, Eli Whitney… well that was something else entirely; a different world with exponential creativity and possibilities.

About Adam Lemmon

Adam (that’s me) is the creator and founder of Studio Point 5. At rest and at ease Adam is an impassioned modern impresario, weaving together resources and opportunities to put on a show. As a leader and a services expert in the world of SaaS, he delivers presentations dotted with observations, insights, and metaphors that always leave his clients wanting more. Improvisational theater, artistic self-expression, and a pension for making anything and everything more interesting all fuel Adam’s need to march to his own drum. In all of his projects and endeavors, he is focused on moving people from where they are now, to where they want to be. As the owner and founder of Badass Backpacks, Adam is striving to connect the dots between creating beauty and life-changing experiences for our customers and the world of which we are all a part. In pre-covid times, you would typically find him at the many cafes that dot the map of Austin, TX where he lives, loves, works, and plays with his family. Adam and his wife, Nancy Lemmon, are learning and growing with their 3 children, Hudson, Phoenix, and Alejandra.
